Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sandy Skoglund could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Online auction, the work Walking On Eggshells changed hands for USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,492.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandy Skoglund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Green House, 1990 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sandy Skoglund konnte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Online wechselte die Arbeit Walking On Eggshells für USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.492,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandy Skoglund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Green House, 1990 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
