Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Morning of Life; Weary Ploughman; Rising Moon or an English Pastoral by Samuel Palmer was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,840.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,000.00 (€ 1,862,259.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Morning of Life; Weary Ploughman; Rising Moon or an English Pastoral von Samuel Palmer wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.840,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.000,00 (€ 1.862.259,27).
