Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British Country Life, which included the work The Skylark (Lister 2) by Samuel Palmer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,347.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,000.00 (€ 1,862,259.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British Country Life durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Skylark (Lister 2) von Samuel Palmer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.347,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.000,00 (€ 1.862.259,27).
