The work The Early Ploughman by Samuel Palmer was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 535.50 (€ 610.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,000.00 (€ 1,862,259.27).

Die Arbeit The Early Ploughman von Samuel Palmer kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 535,50 (€ 610,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.588.000,00 (€ 1.862.259,27).
