Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Early Ploughman or The Morning Spread upon the Mountains by Samuel Palmer was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,840.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,000.00 (€ 1,862,259.27).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.840,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
