The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,828.16), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Samuel Cotes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A boy, in pink-lined sea-green coat and waistcoat, lace-bordered white shirt, black hat adorned with black-lined pink ribbon and bow in his curling fair hair in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 19,120.00 (€ 27,080.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.828,16) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
