In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A boy, in turquoise coat with gold frogging and gold buttons, white frilled collar, black ribbon tied at neck, red cloak draped across shoulders fastened about neck with gold clasp and chain by Samuel Cotes.
