This artwork by Sal Meijer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2003. In the AMSTERDAMSE STADSGEZICHTEN UIT DE COLLECTIE MEENTWIJCK auction, the work Torensluis sold for EUR 15,535.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sal Meijer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Aan den Omval, Amsterdam sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of EUR 25,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sal Meijer erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AMSTERDAMSE STADSGEZICHTEN UIT DE COLLECTIE MEENTWIJCK wurde die Arbeit Torensluis für EUR 15.535,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sal Meijer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Aan den Omval, Amsterdam im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 25.000,00.
