It achieved a price of EUR 10,625.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sal Meijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aan den Omval, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 25,000.00.

Die Arbeit A still life with bread, butter and a knife von Sal Meijer kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.625,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Sal Meijer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aan den Omval, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 25.000,00 versteigert wurde.
