Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dawn #4 by Ruud van Empel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,760.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruud van Empel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy & Girl in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dawn #4 von Ruud van Empel kam im April 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.760,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruud van Empel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy & Girl im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 111.926,78).
