Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Identity #1 by Ruud van Empel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,160.00 (€ 11,821.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ruud van Empel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boy & Girl in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Identity #1 von Ruud van Empel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.160,00 (€ 11.821,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruud van Empel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boy & Girl im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 111.926,78).
