Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Van Gogh #6", 2020. by Ruud van Empel was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,201.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruud van Empel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy & Girl in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Van Gogh #6", 2020. von Ruud van Empel im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.201,93) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruud van Empel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy & Girl im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 111.926,78).
