Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moon #5 by Ruud van Empel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,334.00 (€ 4,831.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruud van Empel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy & Girl in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Moon #5 von Ruud van Empel kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.334,00 (€ 4.831,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruud van Empel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy & Girl im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 111.926,78).
