This artwork by Ruud van Empel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in May 2015. In the Photographs auction, the work Boy & Girl sold for GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00. This high result makes Boy & Girl the most expensive artwork by Ruud van Empel that we have observed at auctions so far.
