Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deep Water by Rockwell Kent was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,258.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rockwell Kent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gray Day in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 852,500.00 (€ 805,917.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deep Water von Rockwell Kent wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.258,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rockwell Kent erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gray Day im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 852.500,00 (€ 805.917,94).
