In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Modern American Art, which included the work Kent Home: Asgaard (Gladsheim) by Rockwell Kent. The »bidding war« ended at USD 63,000.00 (€ 57,065.22), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rockwell Kent achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gray Day in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 852,500.00 (€ 805,917.94).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Modern American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kent Home: Asgaard (Gladsheim) von Rockwell Kent zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 57.065,22) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rockwell Kent erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gray Day im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 852.500,00 (€ 805.917,94).
