Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Moskowitz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Red Cross (White On Black) changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,230.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Moskowitz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,068.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Moskowitz konnte im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Red Cross (White On Black) für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.230,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Moskowitz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.068,27).
