This artwork by Robert Hunter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in May 2005. In the PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION auction, the work Untitled Painting sold for AUD 17,925.00 (€ 11,018.60) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvedere, and his second wife Jane, daughter of Rev. James Mackay, the latter holding a baby in her arms, three-quarter-length, seated on a sofa, the former in Volunteer uniform, in an interior with a d in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 149,650.00 (€ 234,353.92
