This artwork by Robert Hunter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Goldfish sold for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,252.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvedere, and his second wife Jane, daughter of Rev. James Mackay, the latter holding a baby in her arms, three-quarter-length, seated on a sofa, the former in Volunteer uniform, in an interior with a d in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 149,650.00 (€ 234,353.92

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Hunter erzielte im April 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Goldfish für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.252,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Hunter erzielen.
