Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of The Rt. Hon. John Ormsby Vandeleur Of Kilrush (1765-1828), When A Boy by Robert Hunter for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,186.60). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and Early British Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvedere, and his second wife Jane, daughter of Rev. James Mackay, the latter holding a baby in her arms, three-quarter-length, seated on a sofa, the former in Volunteer uniform, in an interior with a d in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 149,650.00 (€ 234,353.92
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of The Rt. Hon. John Ormsby Vandeleur Of Kilrush (1765-1828), When A Boy von Robert Hunter für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.186,60) erwerben. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Group portrait of George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvedere, and his second wife Jane, daughter of Rev. James Mackay, the latter holding a baby in her arms, three-quarter-length, seated on a sofa, the former in Volunteer uniform, in an interior with a d im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 149.650,00 (€ 234.353,92).
