Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled #1 by Robert Hunter was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 32,900.00 (€ 18,893.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of George Rochfort, 2nd Earl of Belvedere, and his second wife Jane, daughter of Rev. James Mackay, the latter holding a baby in her arms, three-quarter-length, seated on a sofa, the former in Volunteer uniform, in an interior with a d in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 149,650.00 (€ 234,353.92
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled #1 von Robert Hunter wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 32.900,00 (€ 18.893,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Hunter erzielen.
