Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Robert Delaunay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper auction, the work La verseuse portugaise sold for USD 1,212,500.00 (€ 1,038,988.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Delaunay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Delaunay erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit La verseuse portugaise für USD 1.212.500,00 (€ 1.038.988,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Delaunay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tour Eiffel im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.462.375,53).
