Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'Équipe de Cardiff by Robert Delaunay was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 877,000.00 (€ 817,258.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Delaunay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'Équipe de Cardiff von Robert Delaunay kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 877.000,00 (€ 817.258,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Delaunay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tour Eiffel im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.462.375,53).
