In October last year Christies in Paris held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Étude pour "L'Équipe de Cardiff" by Robert Delaunay. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 17,640.00 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Delaunay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tour Eiffel in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,462,375.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Étude pour "L'Équipe de Cardiff" von Robert Delaunay zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 17.640,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Delaunay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tour Eiffel im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.462.375,53).
