Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Mastercard by Rob Scholte was worth GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,691.07) to a buyer in April 2007. This price was achieved in the auction Post War & Contemporary Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rob Scholte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Overspel (Adultery), which sold at auction in April last year for EUR 40,320.00.

Die Arbeit Mastercard von Rob Scholte war einem Käufer im April 2007 GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.691,07) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Rob Scholte mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Overspel (Adultery) beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für EUR 40.320,00 versteigert wurde.
