Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (i) Nostalgia (ii) Chlamydia (iii) Melancholia by Rob Scholte was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rob Scholte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Overspel (Adultery) in April last year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit (i) Nostalgia (ii) Chlamydia (iii) Melancholia von Rob Scholte wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rob Scholte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Overspel (Adultery) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
