Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Mis en Bouteilles dans nos Caves 2 (Bottled in our Cellars 2) by Rob Scholte was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 3,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 9,375.00. Admittedly, works by Rob Scholte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Overspel (Adultery) in April last year with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Mis en Bouteilles dans nos Caves 2 (Bottled in our Cellars 2) von Rob Scholte im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 3.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 9.375,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rob Scholte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Overspel (Adultery) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
