RICHARD LONG (B. 1945) Two Sahara Works the complete set of one grano-lithograph in colors and one screenprint in brown, on various papers, 1988, each signed in pencil and numbered 60/75 (there were also ten artist's proof sets), published by Edition Schellmann, Munich and New York, with full margins, in very good condition, together with the original paper folder with printed text Each Sheet: 24 7 ⁄ 8 x 36 3 ⁄ 4 in. (632 x 933 mm.)

The work Two Sahara Works by Richard Long was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,369.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).

Die Arbeit Two Sahara Works von Richard Long kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.512,00 (€ 1.369,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
