This artwork by Richard Long achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April this year. In the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online auction, the work Two prints by the artist sold for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,706.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Long erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online wurde die Arbeit Two prints by the artist für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.706,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
