In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Murrumbidgee, Papers of River Muds. by Richard Long for EUR 3,960.00. This price was achieved in the auction Art of the 20th Century | ONLINE ONLY at VAN HAM and was even below the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
