Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Murrumbidgee, Papers of River Muds. by Richard Long for EUR 3,960.00. This price was achieved in the auction Art of the 20th Century | ONLINE ONLY at VAN HAM and was even below the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Long achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 171,379.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Murrumbidgee, Papers of River Muds. von Richard Long für EUR 3.960,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Art of the 20th Century | ONLINE ONLY bei VAN HAM erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Long erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 171.379,61).
