The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,982.70), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Richard Haas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Manhattan View, Battery Park; and Manhattan View, Battery Park, Night sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,394.25).
