Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work upstart! by Ricci Albenda was worth USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,129.10) to a buyer in May 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Part II at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ricci Albenda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You're Sixteen, You're Beautiful and You're Mine, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 41,962.51).
