Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work The Gold Mine Ride (Tunnels of Love) by Reginald Marsh. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Reginald Marsh have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2015 the work Merry-Go-Round was auctioned for USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gold Mine Ride (Tunnels of Love) von Reginald Marsh zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 403.200,00 (€ 375.733,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
