Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Mr. C after Zurbaran by Raqib Shaw for GBP 504.00 (€ 572.05). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raqib Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,500.00 (€ 3,889,584.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mr. C after Zurbaran von Raqib Shaw für GBP 504,00 (€ 572,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raqib Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.500,00 (€ 3.889.584,22).
