Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included this untitled work by Raqib Shaw. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,854.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raqib Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,500.00 (€ 3,889,584.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Raqib Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.854,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raqib Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.500,00 (€ 3.889.584,22).
