Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Reflections on the Country Without a Post Office by Raqib Shaw was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,460.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raqib Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,500.00 (€ 3,889,584.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Reflections on the Country Without a Post Office von Raqib Shaw wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.460,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raqib Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.500,00 (€ 3.889.584,22).
