Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raqib Shaw could be acquired at Phillips in London in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work First study for Reflections changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,378.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raqib Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,500.00 (€ 3,889,584.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raqib Shaw konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit First study for Reflections für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.378,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raqib Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden Of Earthly Delights Iii im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.500,00 (€ 3.889.584,22).
