In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection, which included the work The Trial by Rameshwar Broota. The auction ended at the price of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,008.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rameshwar Broota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Trial von Rameshwar Broota zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.008,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
