Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Self-Portrait) by Rameshwar Broota. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 52,920.00 (€ 62,695.91). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rameshwar Broota achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Self-Portrait) von Rameshwar Broota zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 52.920,00 (€ 62.695,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
