Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Where to Go by Rameshwar Broota was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 119,700.00 (€ 107,905.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rameshwar Broota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Where to Go von Rameshwar Broota kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 107.905,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
