Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Last Chapter by Rameshwar Broota was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 287,500.00 (€ 245,349.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rameshwar Broota - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Numbers, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Last Chapter von Rameshwar Broota kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 287.500,00 (€ 245.349,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Numbers beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81) versteigert wurde.
