In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection, which included the work What to Do by Rameshwar Broota. The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,008.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rameshwar Broota have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit What to Do von Rameshwar Broota zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.008,19) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
