Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Child, the Youth, now Man by Rameshwar Broota was auctioned at Christies in New York in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 302,400.00 (€ 285,714.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rameshwar Broota - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Numbers, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Child, the Youth, now Man von Rameshwar Broota kam im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 302.400,00 (€ 285.714,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Numbers beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81) versteigert wurde.
