This artwork by Rackstraw Downes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. In the Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections auction, the work 110Th And Broadway sold for USD 86,500.00 (€ 63,598.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rackstraw Downes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Approach To The Holland Tunnel With 75 Varick sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
