Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Promenade en bord de rivière sous la neige by Pierre Eugène Montézin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,831.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Eugène Montézin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nymphéas in March last year with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Promenade en bord de rivière sous la neige von Pierre Eugène Montézin kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 25.831,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Eugène Montézin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nymphéas im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
