Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pierre Eugène Montézin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May last year. In the Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction, the work Voiliers sur la Seine sold for GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,574.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Eugène Montézin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nymphéas in March last year with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Eugène Montézin erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso wurde die Arbeit Voiliers sur la Seine für GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.574,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Eugène Montézin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nymphéas im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
