In May last year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain - vente online, which included the work Sans titre by Philippe Cognée. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 12,600.00 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Cognée - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanité No. 6, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 37,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain - vente online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Philippe Cognée zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 12.600,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Cognée mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vanité No. 6 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 37.500,00 versteigert wurde.
