Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans titre - 1997 by Philippe Cognée. The price achieved of EUR 17,712.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Cognée - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanité No. 6, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 37,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre - 1997 von Philippe Cognée zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.712,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Cognée mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vanité No. 6 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 37.500,00 versteigert wurde.
