Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Demi-God by Philip Tsiàras was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 40,320.00 (€ 37,844.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Tsiàras - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Astrologer (from Topology series), which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 126,000.00 (€ 143,349.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Demi-God von Philip Tsiàras wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 37.844,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip Tsiàras mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Astrologer (from Topology series) beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 126.000,00 (€ 143.349,34) versteigert wurde.
