The work Manhattan at Night by Paula Scher was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in New York in October 2018. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,412.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paula Scher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan at Night, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,423.39).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Manhattan at Night von Paula Scher wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.412,28) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paula Scher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Manhattan at Night beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.423,39) versteigert wurde.
